David Marcum has crafted a tale of which Doyle himself would be proud. After a body is discovered under a drainage pipe, where it had been concealed some 50 years before, Holmes and Watson are asked to help with the investigation. The title comes from Great Expectations, and the book is primarily a Holmes‘ tale with an homage of sorts to Dickens. Nicely developed characters and an interesting plot make this a must-read for true Sherlockians.
MaGoose Not crazy for the cover based on the photo, but will give the book a try. Like most Sherlockian stuff. 6y
