so-soEven though I struggled with the characters, I did really enjoy the verbal sparring between Jake and Fliss. But I found the book to be a little jumpy in parts; I really struggled with a scene where Jake is pouring his heart out to Fliss, and the next thing, they are heading to bed together, with bare minimum of consoling, and that was just one part I struggled with.... even though it's a good book, it doesn't inspire me to read the series now.
