Mehso-so

Feels good to get this off my Kindle. I started reading it probably over a year ago. I loved the TV show Bored to Death, but it turns out I'm not a huge fan of Ames writing, at least his non fiction. I'm asexual, so I'm not particularly interested in his sexual conquests, which he writes about A LOT! It's not bragging though, and his self deprivation keeps it from being obnoxious, but still...

Pickpick

After reading his collection of essays, short stories, articles this photo is a whole other level. 😂Thoroughly enjoyed The Double Life... and recommend it to folks who enjoy Sedaris, Palahniuk, & Waters. Funny & well-paced...nothing gruesome, but a fair share sexual encounters. Will definitely explore his other work. 📖 📚📖

The HBO series Bored to Death was always entertaining...so it's only natural to explore the source material. My first of Ames' writings. 🙌🏼

TieDyeDude I've been meaning to read some of his stuff. Bored to Death was amazing! 8y
JackOBotts @GoodForCirculation Ames is keeping me entertained, for sure. If you've enjoyed David Sedaris, this should entertain...edgier, more risqué, but full of "laugh-out-loud" moments. I plan to read more Ames down the line. 8y
