From Southern California to the Pacific Northwest, Thirst follows a young woman growing up in the 70s and 80s. Without her knowledge or understanding, Jenny's life has mirrored another woman's - one that lived 21 centuries ago! Through a lifetime of compromise and poor choices spanning over four decades, Jenny finds herself disillusioned, disappointed, and depressed. Growing up in a complicated childhood, including some negative experiences with people calling themselves Christians, she avoids God altogether. Her continual search for love and happiness lead her down a hard and difficult road. Determined to design her "perfect life," Jenny engages in many of the trappings that entangle and drag women down today. In an effort to quench her lifelong thirst for love and acceptance, she endures the pain and regrets from her five failed marriages. Eventually, isolation feels like her only option when she ends up living in a run-down trailer park with a man she barely knows. Jenny has turned away from God her whole life - but by no means has He given up on her. Each crisis, every challenging situation and painful heartache leads her closer to the miraculous meeting that waits for her when it appears all else is lost. Thirst presents a modern-day interpretation of the Bible's "Woman at the Well" story that reveals how well Jesus knows us, and how determined He is to provide the living water of forgiveness and unconditional, redemptive love. Jeannie Smith resides in Washington State with her husband Gary. She is the mother of two sons, a grandmother of three awesome grandkids, and a surrogate mother to a dozen or more incredible young people. Jeannie is an active public speaker who travels throughout the United States, Canada and Europe."
