Pros: Written well. Author is a conservative Republican, so I found it interesting to read about this subject from his viewpoint. While I was reading, it kept my interest. Cons: Who is the audience for this book? There was precious little here I didn't already know. When I wasn't reading it, I also wasn't thinking about it. I have lots of books on this subject from on my TBR, but I'm not sure I'll read many more of them.
Riveted by this so far. 😱
I admire Frum‘s work in The Atlantic, but was disappointed by this book: much of it is recycled from his columns, and he blockquotes from sources at great length to no great effect. Ultimately, Frum offers admonishment rather than analysis, invective instead of insight. However: were it possible to destroy Trump through sheer accumulation of adjectives, this book would have the force of articles of impeachment and the 25th Amendment combined.
