Such hard going. And then the author married a Mitford off to Lord Haw Haw and I lost all faith in the accuracy of the research. Skimmed to the end, so not a bail, but very close to one
#TBRtemptation post 1! Just released. A paradigm-shifting look at history: old-power vertical hierarchies versus new horizontal social networks. Most of history is hierarchical: top-down leaders, top-brass, upper class; bottom-up unions, workers' parties. But what about the more informal, less-documented, perhaps more influential networks--the Internet, the marketplace, the family tree, the clubs. It's the dichotomy. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
