Drohnenland: Kriminalroman | Tom Hillenbrand

Pickpick

My opinion reminds me of what @Shemac77 wrote earlier today, only the other way around. Usually, a good ending changes my mind on an average book.

Here, I ended up wandering if an unsatisfying and open ending still is worth a »Pick« .

Yes, it is, because the world building and the concentration on the new Union States in Europe balanced it out for me. Additionally, if I am being objective, the presented ending is plausible and fits the plot.

Audiocooking.

(Which is kind of wrong.
Replace it by audio-vegetable-cleaning-and-slicing.)

But I still like the book. It‘s sci-fi but simultaneously so close to present technology, attitudes and life circumstances that I get the shivers here and there.

#30DaysOfGratitude by @jb72

Thursday‘s Prompt:
Next let‘s do something different.
Leave a book recommendation below. I‘d love to hear why/how the book came to your heart. 🙅🏽‍♀️ Nope – not for me please, since there are many books I think I should or might want to read. I don‘t need more. I‘m too sensitive for any kind of pressure at the moment. [...] or just post your three gratitude things today. ✅✅✅

jb72 Naps are the best on those long winter days! 4y
Buechersuechtling @jb72 Thanks for your support. On the one hand, naps are great to refuel, but on the other hand, while thinking more detailed about it, I am not quite sure if it‘s really wise to, during the time between noon and afternoon lock out precious, because rare, daylight, by catnapping. 🤷🏽‍♀️ 4y

Up next:

“Why interrogate witnesses when all they did and said is already available on hard disk? Why investigate at crime scenes when flying police drones have already photographed everything?

When a Brussels parliamentarian is found murdered near the capital, the police initially believes to quickly solve this case. But then it seems that the digital data has been manipulated – which leads to a conspiracy that threatens whole Europe.”
