On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon and, to an audience of over 450 million people, proclaimed his step a ?giant leap for mankind.? Who was Neil Armstrong? is a great B for your classroom. Roberta Edwards writes about Neil Armstrong‘s journey to the moon. This is a great RA for when you‘re talking about space or science in your class. It‘s important to use biographies in your classroom and here‘s an article why https://mobile.edweek.org/c.jsp?cid=25919971&bcid=25919971&rssid=25919961&item=h...

Stephanie5 That‘s a great book to show and integrate a book into social studies or even science when teaching about space ships or about the history of the first man on the moon and great article to back it up. 5y

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, my 7 yo and I read this biography of Neil Armstrong. This series is wonderful - the perfect length and content for the 6-9 yo crowd. I learned a lot myself about Armstrong‘s life and the training and logistics of the moon landing. 🌙 👩‍🚀 🚀

Dogearedcopy LOL, I remember seeing a review written (years ago) by a middle-schooler: “⭐This book was terrible. He died in the end!“ 5y
LibrarianJen I love these books also. OMG @dogearedcopy really? 🤣🤣🤣 5y

This biography picture book is by Roberta Edwards and illustrated by Stephen Marchesi. It is a biography about an astronaut, military pilot, and educator named Neil Armstrong. He made history by becoming the first man to walk on the moon. The teaching strategy for this book is GR because it will allow the students to understand in their own point of view what an astronaut does and who Neil is. #ucflae3414f17

hannahl UDL: 8.4 to promote feedback by asking questions will help the teacher see what each student is understanding from the book. ESOL: 28: to give your own brief biography about who you think Neil is to the students after they read. http://collaborationcuties.blogspot.com/2012/12/who-was-neil-armstrong-literatur...
