Another fun, captivating story. I appreciate how Ava's connections and world is expanding throughout the series.

I had no idea forensic accountants lived such exhausting lives criss-crossing the globe like this. Good, intriguing mystery and not quite as violent as usual.

Dogearedcopy I have a friend who is a(n) FBI Computer Forensics Specialist and, he travels almost constantly (ironic considering I thought this would be one job there you could telecommute.) He also has some amazing stories (though he also admits there are a lot of tedious stretches to his job.) Not a bad life for a one-time nerd! 😀 6y
rwmg A friend from my Bandung days was working as a forensic accountant when we re-connected through FB. But I don't think he led quite so exciting a life as Ava does. 6y

I'm am liking this slow, strange thriller of a forensic accountant trying to unravel who is responsible for selling forgeries to a Chinese art collector who might not be a nice guy. The protagonist is a Canadian accountant with family in Honk Kong. I'm half way through the story, and she has already cheated on her girlfriend back in Canada so I am beginning to like the protagonist less but I am still hooked on the story.
