SATURN‘S CHILDREN is a gloriously weird spy thriller about what robots get up to when their creators have gone extinct. I liked the first half a lot, but my interest waned dramatically throughout the lead-in to the denouement. Clever though it is, it‘s dense enough, with enough odd turns, that it feels a lot longer than 300-odd pages.
Be aware there‘s a fair bit of robot sex and also some rape of both the bodily and mind varieties.
