SEARCHING FOR A NEW HOME... The Galahad, a faster-than-light spacecraft, carries fifty scientists and engineers on a mission to prepare Kepler 452b, Earth's nearest habitable neighbor at 1400 light years away. With Earth no longer habitable and the Mars colony slowly failing, they are humanity's best hope. After ten years in a failed cryogenic bed--body asleep, mind awake--William Chanokh's torture comes to an end as the fog clears, the hatch opens, and his friend and fellow hacker, Tom, greets him...by stabbing a screwdriver into his heart. This is the first time William dies. It is not the last. When he wakes from death, William discovers that all but one crew member--Capria Dixon--is either dead at Tom's hands, or escaped to the surface of Kepler 452b. This dire situation is made worse when Tom attacks again--and is killed. Driven mad by a rare reaction to extended cryo-sleep, Tom hacked the Galahad's navigation system and locked the ship on a faster-than-light journey through the universe, destination: nowhere. Ever. Mysteriously immortal, William is taken on a journey with no end, where he encounters solitary desperation, strange and violent lifeforms, a forbidden love, and the nature of reality itself. ...HE DISCOVERS THE INFINITE. Jeremy Robinson, the master of fast-paced and highly original stories seamlessly blending elements of horror, science fiction, and thrillers, tackles his most ambitious subject matter to date: reality itself. An amalgam of the works of J.J. Abrams and Ridley Scott, Infinite is a bold science fiction novel exploring the vastness of space and a man's desire to exist, find love, and alter the course of his life.

Interesting sci fi considering what is reality, and what is not reality. A computer programmer, trapped alone on a starship headed to nowhere, creates his own world. Or does he?

Mehso-so

A sprawling space narrative with a cool idea, but sadly, a bit all over the place on follow through.

🎧 Re-read in preparation for Infinite 2 coming out tomorrow! This is fun sci-fi narrated excellently by RC Bray!

Will is awakened from cryo-sleep when a screwdriver is buried into his chest by an insane megalomaniacal crew-mate who has essentially ended the human race. Or has he? Will Will, Gal & Cap survive? How will they get control of the space ship? All answers will be revealed by the end of this book & new ones posed.

Loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

🎧 This is science fiction involving time & space ... it‘s also a mystery, romance and endurance novel ... it‘s well written with a few laughs. The narrator, RC Bray is a master & does a great job. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed this. It was a quick read and is action packed. It starts out with a mission to a new planet in an effort to save the human race because earth has become unable to sustain life. Everything goes wrong from there. It has an action movie sort of pacing, one crisis after another.

This has gotten to be very interesting. It started off good and then I started to get a little concerned that it was going downhill but it picked back up to interesting. It is a bit like the movie Passengers. The guy is on a ship and has been awoken from cryosleep early and all hell breaks loose.

Probably the most unique dedication or opening quote I‘ve ever seen in a book!

Riveted_Reader_Melissa And what does it say if you translate it from binary code I wonder? 7y
