1/50 books from my owned tbr read so that I can clear out my shelves - I really don‘t want to own this many heaps of books anymore so I‘m setting an ambitious goal to read them all!

Loved this book, an optimistic, brave, original look into a possible better future. Full of concrete ideas, cases of well-run equitable projects in other countries. A good book for current British politics.

What a wonderful idea by this South Korean city! Wonderful for the environment (locally and internationally), children‘s safety and education, the community, the good of the community. Can everywhere do this?? You go Suwon 💪🥰

Next up! George Monbiot is one of my favourite journalists. I‘m intensely worried about British politics (like everyone else) and I get even more worried and frightened when I try to disengage from it. I know a lot of people switch off and don‘t read it but that makes it so much worse for me! Reading about it keeps me a bit calmer. #24b4monday @TheReadingMermaid @Andrew65

My books from the Verso sale arrived! As I find the world harder and harder to live in and we head for a difficult year in Britain (and everywhere else), I find it comforting to have books by people I respect to navigate me through a bit, or at least to feel like I‘m not the only one freaking out.

I cannot say enough good things about this book! part review of economics and politics, it also offers a way through our current geopolitical muck. It gave me hope for the future!
