An ambitious Stone Age man demands a talisman that will harden his heart, allowing him to take control of his tribe. Against better judgement, the tribe's magic man creates the flint heart, but the cruelty of it causes the destruction of the tribe. Thousands of years later, the talisman re-emerges to corrupt a boy's father.

#24in48 Literal Bookends Challenge: My shelves begin and end with overflowing, double-stacked piles! 🙃 🤷‍♀️ The beginning is adult fiction and was at one time alphabetized — there are still a bunch of “A” authors there, but it doesn‘t take long for that to fall apart. And somehow Christmas got plopped in front of them? My shelves then have sections for picture books, classics, YA, and end with MG — which is particularly overflowing these days!

“Was Shakespeare anybody much?” 😊😂 When the YA book you grabbed up (based on the cover alone) while at the library is about to go into a rant... ❤️ I‘m on page 64 and I‘m still clueless as to what is going on, but one of the characters is now chatting books with a pixie 🤷🏼‍♀️ The pages are so pretty, so I keep reading in hopes it will pick up in catching my attention better.

HjHill @gossamerchild this book kind of makes me think of you. 7y
gossamerchild @HjHill are you implying that I rant about things that only only make sense to me?!? 😂🤣😂 7y
HjHill @gossamerchild 😂 no... but I guess that could be true too. It‘s set in Dartmoor, with an odd mix of historical references, mythology(maybe), bookish references & pixies! Apparently it‘s also an abridged take on a classic... I‘m not sure how, but I might look at that more later. Kind of fun. 7y
HjHill @gossamerchild there were a lot of classic literature references in the following 10 pages. You might enjoy... or not. 😆 Basically I keep reading to find out how the fairies play into the story. 7y
gossamerchild @HjHill nice. 🤣 7y

And the point we all ought to have is the Point of view. The Point of View is the most important of all points, and everybody should have his own in the first place, and everybody should be very tender to everybody else's Point of View in the second place, because a Point of View is always a tender thing. #awwww
