...and with that, my years-long reread of the Peabody series via audiobook is over. I still haven‘t read the official last book in the series that was finished by Peters‘ friend Joan Hess, but I‘ll get to it eventually. I‘m not ready to say goodbye to the Emersons just yet. I love this series and Barbara Rosenblat does an incredible job narrating the audiobooks. (Sometimes, I really hate outliving authors).
I‘m ashamed to say I haven‘t been reading in days or walking either #litsywalkers. The few forays caused my plantar fasciitis to return in full force and I‘ve been in a lot of pain. Because of other medical issues and stress at work, this pile just sits and waits for me. A bit of a bummer after a very productive weekend a couple of weeks ago cleaning my shelves. Oh well. I‘ll be keeping up with you Littens and hoping the desire returns soon.
I love listening to anything Barbara Rosenblat narrates. She's the reason I started the wonderful Amelia Peabody books. #awesomeaudiobooks #marchintoreading
My second baby is an introvert. She likes to hang out without being held 100% of the time, so frequently she falls asleep laying on the couch nestled up against my leg for security. This creates an excellent opportunity to get some reading done, so I'm speeding toward the thrilling conclusion of A River In The Sky while baby dozes.
For the first time in a LONG time, I'm up before the whole household. Husband, preschooler, infant. The infant who, by the way, is 1 month old today. So I've fed the dog, taken my vitamins, made coffee, and I'm going to sit here with Amelia Peabody and pop-tarts until something disturbs me. Oh, and we're supposed to get 14 inches of snow today, so that's great.

Haven't been able to read much, or read anything, since #bookandbump became #bookandbaby. But our little family escaped, sick infant and all, to the local branch library this morning for a change of scenery. Seeing A River In The Sky reminded me that the last work Peters touched, the manuscript for The Painted Queen, had been green-lit for publication...and will be forthcoming this summer. #YAAASSSSS #herecomessummer #summerreads
