Didn‘t know going in that this was the first part of the story. Naturally the second part is the only book in the series I don‘t own... anyway, solid Mariani once again. Set in Africa which works well with my Africa obsession. Probably the most violent Mariani book I‘ve read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I need action! I believe I‘ve found the right book for that.

This is one of my favourite series, but this one felt a bit of a departure from the others, taking place off the Somali Coat and in Africa. This could form a sea change for Ben. It was good to see Ben spend time with his son, but could have been in better circumstances. This book forms the first part of a 2 part adventure - this was a bit of a weakness for new and goes against the feel of other books in the series. Onto book 14!

Time to start the next book in the Ben Hope Series, unbelievably this is book 13 in the series. Within this book I hope to visit an African Country in my Round the World Challenge. Recent books have found Ben in a bad place, hopefully he can reestablish his equilibrium in this one.
