so-soA short nonfiction graphic novel that looks at urban planning & protest. Written by a queer artist, this touches on sexual identity, racism, feeling comfortable with yourself alone & in a group, and affecting change. It also ties in the history of Algiers and Paris... there's a lot going on, and I wish this was expanded to flesh out more, give more background, etc. #LitsyReadingChallenge #LitsyRC19
so-soThe concepts she explores, about the politics of geography and space, and how they bear on authoritarian urban planning, in history and in the present, are fascinating, and I wanted to hear more about them. Unfortunately for me, the pages are sparse with information (visual or text) and the book is very short. Either a much denser as-short book, or a much longer as-sparse book, would have been much better to tell this story to my satisfaction.
