Pickpick

Lori's boys say they have seen a vampire - she investigates with help from Kit and Aunt Dimity. Lori uncovers the truth to several other mysteries and the identity of the vampire. The last few chapters were very good (the heart of the story). Overall, a good cozy read. ⬇️(for added thoughts)

bthegood ⬆️(added thoughts) Lori makes ridiculous assumptions in this one - explained by Lori having a hard time adjusting to the boys being in school - theme seems to be about letting go of fear (for many of the characters). 13h

1) Aunt Dimity for cozy mystery, Harry Bosch for a little grittier, and I will probably finish Kinsey Millhone this year.
2) Call the Midwives
3) OSU Beavers in the college World Series Go Beavs!
4) Bouy Beer Saturday night for burgers and beer, Doogers Sunday night for great seafood and the halibut is fresh.
5) Yes, one of the best parts of our relationship is sharing books.

1. I read a lot of different series. Harry Bosch, Aunt Dimity, Maisie Dobbs, Stephanie Plum and Inspector Gamache to name a few. They are like comfort food.
2. I finally bailed on Rita Mae Brown‘s Sneaky Pie series. I grew tired of the way she wove her personal politics into her storylines.
3. Depends on the book. I share lots of books with my dad, lots go to the Friends of the Library and some stay home.
4. No

PictureandBook Oh! Me too on Rita Mae Brown! 7y

I'm not sure that they're all that smug about it, but Lori and Bill do seem quite happy together in this series. #smugmarrieds #day5 #junebookbugs

Stacks of books we're donating to the Sherman Public Library Sale (Texas). Who else recycles old books this way?

Ubookquitous Over the past 2 years I've donated the bulk of my read books to libraries, prison programs, and schools. 8y
AllenTStClair @Ubookquitous Schools and prison programs are a great idea! 8y
LibrarianJen Our library system receives the bulk of its program funding through its used books sales. The Friends have a used bookstore at the main library and hold monthly Saturday sales. 8y
AllenTStClair @LibrarianJen Donating to the library is something I'm very passionate about. Makes me feel good that a book I loved may end up in the collection or sold to a reader at a low cost! 8y

I find the Aunt Dimity books to be a great palate cleanser in between weightier reads. They always make me smile. #day6 #happyreads #marchintoreading
