Mehso-so

This was something. Between the almost incest, attempted SA, extortion, and just plain entitlement of some the characters, I was not feeling it. This was my first V.C. Andrews. I‘m not saying it will be the last, but I‘m not coming back soon. #Bookspin

Updated: I was a little curious about what happened next, so I looked up a summary. It‘s a no for me.

Soubhiville I don‘t know if this is one of the author‘s books I read as a teen, but that sounds right on track for her. I‘d say if this didn‘t appeal to you, you‘d be safe to just skip all her others. 3w
Jadams89 @Soubhiville Thanks for the tip! I‘m not sure if I just wasn‘t in the right mood for it - I have one more on my shelf, so I may try again later this year. 3w
TheAromaofBooks Sometimes a book just isn't a good match. 3w
TheUrbanReader I completely agree! I felt as though this book was throwing out anything to keep the reader going. At every turn there is something new without much development, detail or room for growth. Whilst the way the book was wrote allowed me to finish the book, I genuinely found it very surface level and random 3w

It‘s no longer Friday in 🇦🇺 but whatever.

1. V C Andrews is amazing! Ruby was my favourite series.
2. Bit of both. 👍🏻 Best way to go.
3. Lynette & Ian. Carmel & Jungle (James).
4. The list is VERY long. The Goonies, Grease, Beauty & The Beast are just a few...
5. Melbourne, Australia. Basically home, but I love it so much. 💚

First real novel I read when I was eleven. Definitely not a book for that age range but I remember it being very interesting to me at the time!
