pickAaargh, cliffhangers! I am liking the Sandman Slim books better later on in the series than I did to begin with. In this, SS is engaged by his boss to find a missing child and also engaged by an angel to find out what ‘black milk‘ is, a substance that is causing havoc in heaven. And, lo, the two cases are linked. This was a little less gritty than usual, and I say I like the grittiness of this series but maybe, deep down, I really don‘t.
