so-soI think this only a So-So for me because I found it a bit long winded at times. I can understand and have empathy for the amount a guilt Meg felt but I did spend parts of the book screaming (in my head) about the choices she was making. I think this kind of investment in the characters is a sign of good writing.
pickSolid 4 Stars. I wish the end was a little clearer as far as did things work out or not, I don‘t like being left to wonder. But overall, a very good, if somewhat emotional and sad, book and how our actions can have severe impacts even when we think we‘re doing the right thing. And then sometimes knowing we‘re doing the wrong thing and yet somehow not be able to stop ourselves.

Kids are off to school. I could get used to this! LOL. I'm about 50 pages in and so far I'm enjoying it. Something about her writing style irks me but the story line is good so far.

pickI don't know why it's taken me so long to read a book by Karma Brown. This book was really amazing.
Karma likes to present her characters with unexpected pivotal moments, moments that will change their lives forever, and explore their reactions and how they forge through and survive. She did a stellar job with this book and this exploration. I felt the whole thing down to my core. Highly recommend! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
