Pros: Laine‘s relationship with her mom and how she learned to re-evaluate her friendships with Sim and Topher. Important lesson in who you want to be versus who you become for someone else. Liked the cooking theme and recipes throughout the book as well.
Cons: Meeting Mr. Semple was a wee bit convenient, but it did apply to the story. Sometimes felt Laine was 13, not 17.
