Definitely one of the toughest books to get through, but this was so informative and inspiring despite the heart-wrenching material. I'm not sure I can fully wrap my head around what I read. 5ðŸŒŸ I know it's incredibly triggering, but I would implore everyone to read this, especially men.

I've been wanting to read this one for a while, since I've read a lot on the Bosnian and Armenian Genocides over the past year. This is another that I requested my library add to their collection and they came through for me. I know this is going to be rough, but again, when we fail to learn from history, we're doomed to repeat it.

jveezer Naomi Wolf talks about that in a chapter of her book, Vagina. "The traumatized vagina," I believe that chapter was called. Chilling. But made me even more determined to be a good ally. 8y

Laalaleighh Oh no. I learned about this in ethnic conflict class. I cried for like a week. This is one of the most disturbing and heartbreaking rape as a weapon of war stories. Like, lose all faith in humanity level horrible. Not this book in particular. Just what was done to those women. 8y
