Finally sitting down with this! I‘ve read page 1 towards the end of 2017, but then there were more interesting books to read...and I don‘t know how far I will get before I bail!!!! These days most writing in Afrikaans feel clumsy to me...and I wonder: Have this always been the case; or did I just not had a standard to compare it to? Did I become a reading snob? Very thankful though that Dalene Matthee‘s works are still awesome in Afrikaans!
