so-so

This had the potential to be an excellent book. There are fabulous ideas, but the main character is too near the Mary Sue end of the spectrum. The unicorn adds nothing (although I suspect he was supposed to be comic relief). There's potential in the pack develooment, and the conflicts with/education of normal humans, but it wasn't quite nailed here. Sadly the education side comes across as a big info-dump. Not sure if I'll read more.
