Though I found this in general sci-fi, it definitely feels like a ya story. Teen from a Mars colony with dreams of becoming a pilot navigates the murky waters of an Earth boarding school. A lot of fun but something was missing. I never found myself worried for any of the characters. I'd still like to read more stories about these characters and more in this world. #scifi #ya #yascifi #sfff
Surprised, but I did not love this. It was okay and a fast read, but ehhh.
This is very easy to read and goes by fast, but I'm not convinced by the main character. I'm just not feeling much from her, and I'm waiting for more of a plot to kick in.
I have WAY too many things to say about this than I have space for here -- but you should get your hands on this optimistic SF adventure (featuring my yet-to-be-born my great-great-ellipses-great-granddaughter). My fairly complete thoughts are here: http://wp.me/p3z9AH-2EB
I love sci-fi set in our own solar system because I can believe we'll be puttering around in it someday. This is brand new from Carrie Vaughn, out today, about a couple of Martian kids sent to boarding school on Earth. Shenanigans ensue.
