It's a good, brief look at the philosophical basis of reactionary thought and political movement. Whereas conservatives will allow for incremental change based on reason and experiences , the reactionary sees all change as negative and wants to return to an earlier, imagined better age, sometimes without regard to the cost. For it's small size (144pp), there's a lot of substance here.
Dang it. I forgot the novel I was reading at the office. But, that lets me read one or two of the essays in this, so it's not all bad.
