As a novice shape-shifter, Katherine is not supposed to use her ability unless other, more experienced shifters are nearby. So, with her mentors out of town, she is little more than an ordinary girl. This is the second book in the series after KAT, WITH A K. It is a delightful addition! I love the tension and impossible situations. Katherine is a wonderful narrator: funny and endearing.
