Undid in the Land of Undone
Undid in the Land of Undone | Lee Upton
2 posts
In Upton's fifth book of poetry, she returns to tableaus in history, both mythical and actual. She pictures Emily Dickinson with blossoms in her hands, Dido standing before the burning pyre at Carthage; even lines from Shakespeare become fodder for a rich imagining of scene. The poems move between ancient settings and modern metaphorical language, high seriousness and humor. --New Issues Poetry & Prose.

This is my little poetry collection. It's not large but I do revisit the volumes often.
I discovered a love for poetry in my 30s. I was in school and working and had small children. There was little time for leisure reading. But a poem could offer a quick fix, satisfying my need for words, images, ideas, and beauty.
