What a compelling read, I would definitely recommend this book.

So I made it a point this Black History Month to read only books by Black women. I am almost done with only two more books to read and honestly, I am so glad I did this. I have never made it a point to read solely Black women and with the push for Own Voices it was a time. There are so many talented Black women out there. So many talented POC authors that want to tell their stories. We just need the recognition and opportuntiy. It‘s time.
This was a great comprehensive look at the work Black women have put into the fight for equality. Tons of information, provided chrinologically detailing the fight that has taken place since Africans were brought over as slaves. I definitely recommend this book
I have been highlighting and bookmarking like it is nobody‘s business! The book has a plethore of information about Black women and their role throughout history in the fight for equality. A really well done comprehensive look at U.S. history and racism and sexism. Almost to the halfway point.
#readblackwomen #celebrateblackwomen This is my next read! I‘m 5 days in and I‘ve read three books and all were really damn good. Hoping this keeps the flow going!
I am ready for Black History Month!

So this happened! Black History Month is around the corner and I am making it a point this year to read only Black Women this year. ✊🏽 Here is the list I curated for the month and I am really excited. I may make this list prettier later but I really wanted to share. This list consist of eleven books.
One of these will also be February‘s pick for @LitsyFeministBookClub which we will share later 😉
