Nevertheless I am a bit ambivalent about it. Which I wasn‘t as I read it for the first time. It‘s because I grew as a person that I sometimes thought Caro is doing too much with all those pictorial, metaphorical comparisons … But Kuttner still does the trick when it comes to how depression feels and how one thinks about oneself. The healing process is told so authentically‼ï¸
Littens, I love rain 🌧 and thunderstorms ⛈. 😠(Which feels a bit mean as I learned yesterday that @Sarah83 is no fan of thunders.)
But the rain 🌧 the thunderstorm brought yesterday cleaned that part of my balcony I left dirty on Friday because I was too exhausted from cleaning the other side that I didn‘t have left the energy to go down on my knees and rub 🧼. And now that the rain helped me it might be only half as tiring. 😃🙌ðŸ¼
It‘s a re-read by audiobook for me.
Years ago – about five – I‘d say, I read the book because a friend recommended it – and I loved it. For the tune it tells its story and for the honest way it deals with depression. Back then it all felt so true and I wished there were more books like that that don‘t have a prejudiced subtext towards mental issues.
Looking forward to this. Kind of.
