Who Is Malala Yousafzai? | Dinah Brown
5 posts | 5 read | 1 to read
Malala Yousafzai was a girl who loved to learn but was told that girls would no longer be allowed to go to school. She wrote a blog that called attention to what was happening in her beautiful corner of Pakistan and realized that words can bring about change. She has continued to speak out for the right of all children to have an education. In 2014 she won the Nobel Peace Prize.

This is another good one that does a good job of covering the topic. Malala is one of my sheroes, I wish I had 1/10 the courage that that young woman had and continues to have.
This is an odd criticism/praise ... I like that they did completely “fix” Malala‘s face for the cover artwork.
This is a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 stars.

Another excellent Who is...? Malala Yousafzai a young female activist from Mingora, Pakistan. At the age of ten, the Taliban started a war forbidden female rights. Many Pakistanis disagreed with the Taliban. However, they were too scared to speak out except for Malala and her family. On October 9th, 2012, an armed man stopped Malala‘s school bus and shot her. This deadly shot didn‘t stop Malala.

AJones In 2014, Malala won the Nobel Peace Prize and wrote a best-selling book titled, I am Malala. 6y

Why oh why did Michaels have to go and ruin my budget with this ploy? I have been working so hard to say “no” to yarn (and even took some back today), but they got me with this book display! I didn‘t buy 1 or 2 but 3! I can‘t say no to education and they seem well written and more objective than textbooks! I got the Declaration of Independence, Underground Railroad, and Malala Yousafzai one. I‘m coming back for the Twin Towers!

My youngest daughter (she's 7) and I are doing the Girls Leadership Mother/Daughter book club. This was the first book and we both really enjoyed it! We meet with our friends to discuss the book tomorrow!
