As the author alludes in her author‘s note, significant parts of the story are wholly invented. I found this to be all fiction, there was little truths to the story. With that said, it was a well written, and I really like her writing style. Overall, this is a light diversion likely to appeal to fans of The Tudors.

I‘ve been pretty absent from Litsy for a lot of this year so far, mostly because I‘ve just been really lazy, and I‘ve missed it, and all of you! 😭 But I‘m going to try to be better again, so heyyy friends! After the creepiness of the last few reads, it was time for an old face with Carolly Erickson‘s novel of Jane Seymour, the third of Henry VIII‘s six wives. (I‘ve always kind of thought she was the most boring, so we‘ll see how this goes!)
