Koko died in her sleep at the age of 46. 😔
I hope that her species is saved and able to live free as they‘re meant to. I‘m grateful that she was able to touch so many of us, though she became a lifelong experiment.
pickI am a childless adult and this is my #picturebookstack. No shame, I love this medium! Old Bear and Koko's Kitten are the only ones I've had since childhood though others are replacements of childhood favorites (as a teacher's kid you don't keep much of your stuff once you grow out of it - there's always a kid that can use it). Tagged book is the greatest of all time. I was a kid with a love for animals and a lot of emotions. #riotgrams
