The only reason I read this book is because of the apples š¨ˇ on the cover. It was bad! A redo of Cinderella and boy it was too long, childish in the conversations would last forever š’. I did get 2 bingo spots for #ISpyBingo January and April. Getting there! Picked up The Kingpin of Camelot, a fairytale retelling based on a recommendation by Ilona Andrews. I thought the premise sounded crazy but in a fun way. I liked some bits of it, and some of the humor clicked with me. But I found the pace dragging, felt like I kept waiting for things to happen. Also didn't care enough about the characters. Still happy to have tried a new-to-me author in fantasy romance.

EloisaJames Well, the first one was fun. Not as great as the third--and some seriously irritating typos (which I really didn't see in Kingpin--did I miss it?) now I'm reading the second and it's pretty fun too 7y

Queen Guinevere meets Kingpin Midas in this fairytale retelling romance that I never would have come across if it hadn't been recommended by one of my favorite authors, Ilona Andrews. Just started reading it but I'm enjoying it so far! Feels like a refreshing and different take on how fairytales are retold. Sigh, why do I keep buying new books when I should be reading the ones that I already own?š‚š
