There are new characters in this book, including friends and enemies. I enjoyed this book as much as the first. It half spoiled book three, but his chapter names are still spoilers also, and he pulls off spoiling it in a way that makes you want to read more. I liked book 2 as book one, and I intend on reading book three. It has fun mythology violence.

The book uses First person POV. Percy is the one telling the story and we get his internal thoughts, and we even see his dreams. He uses pronouns such as, “I”, to describe himself and refers to others using, “he” or “she”.
