I've created a bookclub on SG to keep things organized if anyone wants to join - https://app.thestorygraph.com/book_clubs/158fd0c1-ae91-45ee-b40c-6ab2f39d101f
I just want to see which books rate highly
I'm excited to get back into this universe and I'm hoping for more Percy 😅
Did I cry? Yes. Did I love it? Also yes! I finished this book yesterday, and it was AMAZING! Here‘s my fill out of wanderinglynn‘s Off My Shelf. I‘ll be using this for any book I read this year that matches one of these. The three books I have so far are The House of Hades and The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan and Escaping Peril: The Graphic Novel by Tui T. Sutherland. I apologize for the tilted picture.
Not sure who is following #RiordanverseReadalong but I figured I‘d do a check in/final thoughts post
How did you enjoy or not enjoy the book? Any favourite characters or moments?
Anybody can join in!
The next book we‘ll be reading will be The Son of Neptune in February
I was a bit underwhelmed. I found the characters a bit bland and there wasn‘t any connection between them. Hoping this changes! Percy is just so hard to follow
I am divided by this book. All the way through I had to keep reminding myself this was a children's book because it is badly researched, weirdly paced, and very repetitive.
Things happen to the characters, they don't make things happen. The characters themselves were rather bland and there was no connection between them.

Riordanverse readalong starting with The Lost Hero #RiordanverseReadalong
Reading a book a month to get through The Heroes of Olympus, The Kane Chronicles and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard in 2025
I‘m going to use the readalong function on Storygraph. I can set up a Discord if people would prefer that. I‘m making this up as I go along

These books are SO GOOD 💀 So many traumatic experiences in this one but yeesh, so good. Rick is a master storyteller. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
These books… W O W. I am so glad I‘ve jumped on the Percy Jackson train as the kids and I are having such a ball reading these together. This book is seriously gripping and has some really quite scary parts in it. AND THE END. I mean, if you don‘t see that coming it kills you. I feel very sorry for anyone who read that at the time of publishing and had to wait however many years for the next book 😅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
