This book got me into reading, and now I have over 100 books
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 I honestly don't know what people are talking about when they say that the Senior Year Adventures are bad. This book was amazing, with just as much fun as I remember from the first series. I loved the commentary on both being young and growing up, and I think it fits that they had both of those journeys (with Hebe and Geras) in the first book, since this trilogy is based on Percy growing up and moving into a new part of his life.
Started this one today, and I missed reading in Percy's perspective! My boy! Sucks that he has to do MORE quests after everything he's gone through, but of course Zeus would be a salty hypocrite like that.

As much as I loved The Sun and the Star, updating my #readingbracket2025 meant choosing between it and The House of Hades. THoH might have won simply because it has more characters and is longer, or some other emotional appeal. Either way, it was a very close decision.
I love how the wall is painted like the night sky 🌃 It makes it looks like the books are floating off into space...

#RiordanverseReadalong has finished the Heroes of Olympus series
Here is the book club's rating of all of the books. Do you agree? Disagree?
Son of Neptune was definitely my favourite
This entire series was boring. I don't think I was ever going to love it because I'm a Latinist. Riordan's interpretation of Rome and Roman religion annoyed me.
Even ignoring that element, there were too many characters and POVs. It really slowed the book down and I honestly didn't care about many of the characters.
Also, not sure if it's my ace showing but damn did I not care about the teen romances.
