#bookspinbingo scored a line! This was a sweet little book with lots of interesting spiritual musings… one that I would like to return to again.

Definitely makes more sense in the morning and evening social media posts as it was originally done. I listened to the audiobook, which was a lot of positivity all at once! That‘s okay, though. I‘m glad I got to partake. I had many laugh-out-loud and shiver moments listening to these affirmations. Hearing the author say them was special.

#5JoysFriday @DebinHawaii The days are starting to blur because of holidays .
1. Daughter and Grandson visit for a few days
2. Made brunch for daughter and boyfriend yesterday
3. Taught my grandson to "Go fish"
4. Babysitting grandpup and grandkitty for a week
5. The most beautiful sunrise this morning

"What do we do when our hearts hurt?"
"We wrap them with friendship, shared tears and time, till they wake hopeful and happy again."
My best friend loaned me this book, and now I'm on Thriftbooks finding a copy for me. Such a sweet, positive book for all ages.

A lovely, charming Christmas story. Vera is awakened one day by the next door neighbor child scared because her mother is very sick. After taking the mother to the hospital, Vera becomes friends with Fiona as she babysits her. They decide to do a quilt for mom as she is healing. A group of four strangers comes to help Vera and they work their way through difficulties and become close friends as they finish the quilt.

I loved this book so much on different levels for different reasons, one being the love between a mother and a son (I have two who are grown with their own families). It should be especially meaningful to those continuing to grieve the loss for someone they have loved deeply and feel their continuing presence. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Everyone needs a place where they can go to just ponder for a while. Silence is important; it's the only time you can hear the whispering of truth".

This is the second book in the row that has me all in my feelings. Just saying. Yuck! The description of the book on the profile has loads of spoilers.

Five People You Meet in Heaven, by Mitch Albom (2003)
⭐️⭐️
Premise: A crusty amusement park worker has five transforming encounters when he enters the afterlife.
Review: Stories about the afterlife are generally either cynical or sentimental, so I was expecting a certain amount of cringe here. But wow. ⬇️
