Glory Days is the first book by Lucado that I read. He is an amazing author with a gift from God to encourage believers based on biblical scripture that we can apply to our daily life. One thing I was able to clearly see was that even in Old Testament times, the battle was spiritual. You can't fight an impossible (not impossible for God) physical battle without fighting the same battle in your mind.
"... if you're trying to show off for people at the top, forget it. They will look down on you anyhow. And if you're trying to show off for people at the bottom, forget it. They will only envy you. Status will get you nowhere. Only an open heart will allow you to float equally between everyone."

I bailed on this one. I just couldn‘t continue. I was too bored and the chapters were way too long and I just couldn‘t finish it. Sorry anyone who might have liked it. 😔 It just wasn‘t for me.

Gracie says Momma read this one, it matches our blanket. It‘s a rainy yucky day here so the perfect time for snuggles and reading. #30of2025

I have to say War Room is the best book I've read all year. It was so inspiring and emotional. I felt God speak to me throughout this book. I pray everyday, but this book makes me want a war room to talk to God. I highly recommend The War Room to everyone.
😊 Happy Reading 😊

Midway through this non-fiction reflective story. The author explores the things we need to feel rooted and fully expressed. Much is expressed through the basics supporting her on a solo beach retreat. So far, so good. 😊
