Priscilla and the Pixie Princess | 
pickBoth my daughters just love this series of books. Priscilla is lovable, the illustrations are charming, and the stories are fun and perfectly poetic. Out of print but easy to find good used copies. Priscilla moans about the rain until she ventured outside and finds the Pixie Princess who shows her all the amazing things that happens during/because of rain.
