An adventurer who endured extremes of cold and blizzards; treacherous terrain where one wrong step could be fatal; struggled through sastrugi, ice rubble and emotional lows to achieve an extraordinary goal. Along the way, she made a sandwich for online trolls, inspired young people, and made international headlines. At sixteen, Jade Hameister became the youngest person in history to complete the Polar Hat Trick.

Great read for young people Jade Hameister was the youngest person to complete the Polar Hat Trick from the ages of 14 to 16. An amazing achievement. She obviously came from quite a financially privileged background which was a huge contributing factor in her being able to achieve this goal. It is still an incredible tale of endurance and resilience. The effects of climate change on our polar regions are well highlighted and quite frightening.
