pickThis is the second book in the 'DS Max Craigie' series and follows the events of the first book “Dead Man's Grave“. It is set in Scotland and although some of the expressions are a tad confusing, it was a fun read. A police procedural, it includes drug smugglers, dirty cops, and a man seeking revenge from his prison cell. There is also a touch of humour particularly in the relationship between the two main cops, Max & Janie. 4/5 stars.
