A varied, interesting, at times intriguing and thought provoking short story collection. Unfortunately, the Atwood story was the worst. Doesn‘t take away from the rest however

Hugely enjoyable, feminist, short-story collection by an amazing group of women writers. This book was commissioned to celebrate 50 years of Virago publishing. Each tale is inspired by a synonym of Virago. I particularly enjoyed the graphic story She-devil by Eleanor Crewes.
Highly recommended.
