3 posts | 6 read | 2 to read
Emotions rule us alland turn two womens lives into a ride they can barely control in this hugely entertaining, riveting page-turner. #1 bestselling author Louise Penny Maggie Atwood and Becky McCabe, mother and daughter, both champion riders, vowed to never, ever, go up against one another. Until the tense, harrowing competitions leading to the Paris Olympics. Mother and daughter share a dream: to be the best horsewoman in the world. Coronado is Maggies horse. An absolutely top-tier Belgian warmblood. Sky is Beckys horse. A small, speedy Dutch warmblood. Only James Patterson could bring you such breakneck speed, hair-raising thrills and spills. Only hall of fame sportswriter Mike Lupica could make it all so real.

Mehso-so

I was very disappointed. The plot was so unbelievable and I thought the characters were mediocre. The worst part was the inaccuracies. I would think the main audience for this book would be people like me who ride and own/love horses. Knowing this I would have had someone beta read and correct the inaccuracies. The one that bothered me the most was calling a horse by the wrong gender. There were plenty others. 3⭐️ and I feel I am being generous.

TheSpineView This is my first book completed in 2023 for the #JumpStart 2023 @Lizpixie @Clwojick 2y

RamsFan1963 I've always thought Patterson was a hack. I never understood his popularity. 2y
TheSpineView @RamsFan1963 He is not on my favorites list either. 2y

Not your typical Patterson. It‘s about a woman‘s dream of making it to the Olympics for show jumping. The authors take us along on her journey. Triumphs, setbacks, love, family and villains make this an amazing story. The stars of the show are the horses. Definitely the horses!!!
