This was slightly missing a step in the relationship development for me: they jumped straight from antipathy to liking each other without really sorting out how - except for the pants feelings they had - so not perfect but it‘s still a really good fun read - I raced through it in under 24 hours.

Also my surname is Wilde so I have a soft spot for this series!

I was super happy for Thaddeus to finally get a HEA and I loved the revelation of characters through their reactions to Hamlet (on brand really). The dramaturg in me was real excited about character growth in changing interpretations and interactions with the text of Hamlet. But I'm not sure if this was a favorite of the series for me (that scene from Say Yes to the Duke looms large).

This week was a doozy and I'm too tired to move... so it looks like I'm starting a book on my kindle tonight!

Trust Eloisa James to use macaroni correctly historically and still make a good funny.

This was a lovely light and joyous book, just what I needed in this season where so many of us just seem to be hitting a wall. Eloisa James wrote that it was hard to write a joyful book in the beginning of the pandemic, but I'm so glad she did.

There are entertaining shenanigans and romantic interludes, as one would expect.
