2nd #ChristmasCrimeChallenge book. A look at 100 years of the character of Poirot through all media (books, radio, tv, film, etc.) since his introduction in 1920. Lots of pictures of various novel editions and actors. Mainly for hardcore Christie fans like myself. Recommend by former Litsy friend vivastory aka Scott 😢.

Centique Has anyone heard from Scott that you know of? I hope he‘s ok 💕 3w
Ruthiella @Centique I don‘t know, unfortunately. The Litsy user is now inactive. (edited) 3w
Suet624 I know that he replied in an email to @BarbaraBB. Seems he just decided to leave Litsy. @Centique (edited) 3w

BarbaraBB @Centique I reached out on Instagram after noticing that too and he did reply that he was taking a break from Litsy. He does write book reviews on Threads though. So can you reach him is you want. His handle over there is eclectic_reader78 3w

A gift from my daughter, and a fabulous accompaniment to the books for any Christie fan. Mark Aldridge takes us through the creation of Poirot in 1920s The Mysterious Affair at Styles to the present day and 2020s Death on the Nile with Kenneth Branagh. It is fascinating to read of Christie‘s changing attitudes to her detective and how the family and Agatha Christie Ltd work to keep the characters she created current.

veritysalter @BookishMarginalia @BarbaraBB @LeahBergen Thank you, it‘s taken me about 10 years to collect them all, just a few different versions of the short story collections to find now. 4y

TheAromaofBooks Have you ever read this one? It's quite entertaining & informative, although I would only recommend it someone who is familiar with most of Christie's works since there are quite a few spoilers for her books in it. 4y
veritysalter @TheAromaofBooks I have, it‘s a great enhancer to the stories and shows how phenomenal Christie‘s knowledge of poisons was. Agree with you, there are quite a lot of spoilers in it. ♥️ 4y
Susanita I‘m not familiar with the poisoned marzipan. However, one year at Christmas, my boss brought in some marzipan that she made. It was so sweet, it probably would have killed a diabetic person on the spot. 4y

Coco says “no” to large hardbacks. We cannot both fit in this chair and I now cannot hold the book either. #DogsOfLitsy #PetsOfLitsy.

LeahBergen Shove over, Coco! 😆 4y
