February goals:
1. Read a chapter in the tagged book.
2. Attend a water pilates or yoga class.

Grateful this is a life happens challenge
Good breathing techniques. The science is anecdotal at times.
Day 3: I read a bit more yesterday to reach a total of 14 hours so far in #20in4. I finished this audiobook, which stresses the importance of breathing the right way. I don't buy into the claims that breathing exercises can cure illness like cancer, but I do think there is value to practicing good breathing both physical and mental. The audiobook also had a guide to some of the exercises at the end, so the reader could start practicing. @Andrew65
Intriguing ideas, not sure there is enough documentation behind them to convince the logical brain without more research, but I'll finish and pick at least one area to look at.
.. breathing in different patterns really can influence our body weight and overall health.
Interesting book that analyzes how you breathe, the speed of your inhales/exhales, and how much CO2 your body holds and it‘s impact on your health. I‘m a little hesitant to cite some of the author‘s claims because of anecdotal or extremely small sample size studies that he uses as evidence. (Seems like correlation not causation). However, the book did make me focus on slower, nose only inhales to reduce heart rate and stress😁
I like how Nestor combines his personal experiences with the scientific and cultural aspects of breath. As a longtime yogi and bodyworker, much of this was repetitive. But seen through the lens of how we breathe, I appreciated re-connecting. I will put this information to work in my own life for years to come!

This was fascinating and more than I expected
Full disclosure I needed an audio book while I waited for a hold to come and I liked the cover. I‘d like this in poster form to remind me to maximize my breathing potential.
Fun fact: if you feel a panic attack coming on or are with someone who is do not take or say “take deep breaths” hold you breath instead. #themoreyouknow
Audio gardening on a heat advisory day. Sticking to the shade and wondering as I do every year “what is this pretty flower?”
The writing is good, the story of the author's experiences is interesting, but the rest is a roundup of distraction techniques and pseudoscience.
While I'm sure there are a fair share of mouth breathers (literal), I'm not convinced that the reason I'm awake with swollen, irritated eyes from grass allergies is because I don't breathe correctly. Allergy ige panel says otherwise.
