Melanie had had enough. She freaked out. She started stomping on Jeb‘s hands and his body‘s remains. ‘You‘re dead, Jeb,” Melanie emphasized each word she spoke. ‘Stay dead, Jeb. Leave me alone. Just leave me alone!‘ she screamed...
Melanie stood there in utter fear because of everything that she had witnessed. She could not explain what she had experienced in the pool or in this room. There was no explanation for what she had seen and the things she had felt. It was the unreal made real. It horrified her.
The old house suddenly became cold and still. Evie‘s breath wasn‘t shallow and quick. She was still in shock over what had happened in the last few hours. She was hesitant to move, so she just stood there, breathing and staring into the space before her.
He decided to go to the basement door near the kitchen. He felt a cold chill as he stood outside that door. He opened it and yelled into the basement. No one responded. He told them the game was over. No one responded.

pickbook reminds me of the 80's when I was a teen! Katie's doing the typical teenage thing wanting to have a hidden party (which are the most fun of course) with a few of her friends and a new crush!
