What a great lil palate cleanser! It went nowhere I expected, based on the blurb, and in a good way! I thought this‘d be a get-to-know-yourself mildly romantic, touristy story. It was not. Not introspective, nor lovey-dovey, nor cheesy. It sucks that it‘s an “only from audible” audiobook, as I‘m trying to phase out of the platform…but I did get it for free with my bare bones subscription, so maybe people will benefit from the rec :))

Cute little book of a young woman left at the alter enjoying her honeymoon on her own. Accidentally gets involved with a little magic.
Nice audible to listen to while driving around.

I adored the Enchanted Inc series. Decided to try Swendson‘s magic series and it was equally delightful. Just the right touch of magic, a hint of romance, and a magic library. Delightful comfort read. Will certainly check out more of this series.
