Mehso-so

Decent legal thriller, but the ending was much more suitable for a movie than a book. The lawyers go to huge effort to piece together evidence, but in the end someone blurts out the solution.

Goddammit! Author went and turned a perfectly fine professional relationship into a sexual one.

I'm not in favor of this 'ship, as I think the kids call it.

Starting chapter 28. I think there might be a chapter 28 in part 2 as well.

Normally on Wednesdays i go to Polar Bar and read. However, tonight the area was the scene of a shooting where one person was killed and seven went to the hospital. So i stayed home and I'm reading now.

I had a condo board meeting tonight, so I'm not going to get more than 30 or 40 pages read tonight. I'm a slow reader.

Pet peeve: immigration officers did not change people's surnames at Ellis Island. That's not how it worked.

kristenm My great-grandparents chose to change their name when they came in to fit in better. Totally their choice. 5y
kingrat That's how it usually happened. My g grandfather changed his. Went from Öman to Hallin. 5y
kristenm Mine were much simpler - Martinez to Martin. Nowadays nobody would even care. 5y
