God I hate it here. Finished this one abt 3 days ago and the weekend comes w this absolutely crushing news of the Supreme Court being the Supreme Court.
This book is a good summary of abortion law history (mostly) in the US, and a critique of early pro-choice campaigns. I found it maddeningly relevant for our time, as well as informative and interesting. Recommend it for everyone specially for men - but wish I didn‘t have to.

mandarchy I wish there was an emoji to express how much I care about this post without being flippant. In solidarity. 3y

I know a lot about abortion already and am very passionate about keeping it safe and legal. This book taught me even more about abortion because it does a wonderful job detailing the history of it and the fight for it. The book is a little gendered as far as the language goes — lots of talk of sisterhood — but is very racially aware, which is great.
